This product worked very well for us, its 15 cf were more than ample to pack a family of six duffles for a week long trip. We traveled through some terrific rain storms and all remained dry. Excellent choice.

With the arrival of a new baby we knew traveling would be a challenge spacewise. We couldn't afford a hard cartop and after reading the reviews on this one we thought we'd give it a try. Affordable and it really works? YES! My husband loaded it with ease without the use of a stepladder/stool... he stood in the doorway of the sliding door (van) to reach the furthermost spots and we had it loaded in less than 15 minutes. It held so much (family of 5 including one infant) that we didn't need to put anything other than the stroller, cooler and some snacks inside the van! We had enough room for luggage for 4 of us (2 adults, 15 and 10 so full size luggage), a playpen and pillows.
We were concerned about the straps working loose, so we checked them at every stop... not once did they need to be tightened. Half way to our destination we hit a DOWNPOUR. We almost had to pull over it rained so hard! We were a bit worried about everything on top of the car but later that night when we arrived and unloaded there wasn't even a drop of water inside the carrier! We were IMPRESSED!
Storing this carrier is a joy... it folds down into a small box with ease. That was a concern for us... when comparing a hard sided with this one. Our storage at home is of a premium and we were pleased with it's size.
GREAT ITEM!!!!!! This made traveling much more comfortable and we wish we had purchased one sooner!

KARPAK carrier came without leashing straps. I called Highland customer service and they advised to talk to Amazon about returning, but after I explained I needed straps for my trip ASAP, they shipped it expedited. Very happy with customer service!

Drove 2400 miles, including a heavy wind & rain storm. Very pleased that nothing within got wet & the carrier stayed in place. After a couple attempts to kill the annoying thumping, we figured out it was best to tightly tie off the loose ends. Plenty of room (still had space after 2 large & one medium suitcase, 5 coats, & several gifts).

This carrier worked great for us. We used it when we were traveling over Christmas, so it was jam-packed full of stuff. All of our presents and belongings were well protected from the elements. The best thing about it though, is that it frees up space in your vehicle. My husband said that it was really easy to use. We used it on our Jeep Cherokee and on our Town and Country minivan. It attached easily to both racks.
